How We Work

Updated: May 9, 2021

Each interior designer has its own way of working and approaching a project. This may depend on the client, timelines, needs and style. The technique that we approach a design will always be different from one project to another as all the projects are different by their own means.

'Design is to communicate not just to decorate'- Unknown

If you give Google a quick search on how interior designers work and what would they do - this is the 'definition' that comes up the most:

"Interior designers make interior spaces functional, safe, and beautiful by determining space requirements and selecting decorative items, such as colours, lighting, and materials. They read blueprints and must be aware of building codes and inspection regulations, as well as universal accessibility standards."

Whilst this may be true and relevant in many cases, we see things differently and we have a different approach on what an interior designer should do and therefore, our way of working and approach may be a little different than the usual interior designers.

Getting to know each other.

The first step that we take, and maybe the most important for all, is getting to know each other. The first impression it's crucial. It can sets the vibe of the entire collaboration so we have to make sure from the beginning that we understand each other and we share the same values and approach.

At this stage, we will ask a lot of questions and you should too. About anything that comes in your mind and you might think it will help you understand how we work and make sure that we are the right fit for you.

In order to understand the space and be able to enhance every aspect of it and design it through your own needs and likings, we will need to see the space at a very early stage of the project. To save some time, it would be really helpful to plan your first meeting with your interior designer at your home.
