Color can alter a person’s mood, incite anger, evoke happiness, or call to mind feelings of indifference and sadness. Color communicates so much. It has the power to convey moods and feelings like when people say, “I’m feeling blue” or “She was red hot, she was so mad.”
Even so, most people don’t spend a lot of time thinking about the effects of color in their homes or offices.
Not many know it and to be honest, it's a thing that I have discovered it quite recently -
EVERY MONTH HAS ASSOCIATED A DIFFERENT COLOR. - and April has been associated with the fiery red shade of Cayenne.

As a shade of RED, the color of blood and fire, is associated with meanings of love, passion, desire, heat, longing, lust, sexuality, sensitivity, romance, joy, strength, leadership, courage, willpower, rage, anger, danger, malice, wrath, stress, action, vibrance, radiance, and determination.
Red is energising. It excites the emotions and motivates us to take action.
It signifies a pioneering spirit and leadership qualities, promoting ambition and determination. It is also strong-willed and can give confidence to those who are shy or lacking in will power.
At its most positive it can create life with its sexual energy, or use its negative expression of anger and aggression to fuel war and destruction.
Being surrounded by too much of the color red can cause us to become irritated, agitated and ultimately angry. Too little and we become cautious, manipulative and fearful.
In Eastern cultures such as China red is the color for good luck. Although times are changing and many Chinese brides now wear white, it is traditionally the color for weddings. In Indian culture it symbolises purity and is often used in their wedding gowns.
As the fashion designer Valentino once suggested, "Red has guts .... deep, strong, dramatic. A geranium red. A Goya red ... to be used like gold for furnishing a house ... for clothes, it is strong, like black or white."
Colors are very important aspect in the home decoration field. Nowadays, most of the houses are seen painted in bright colors whether the interior or the exterior part of the house. This not only attract the attention of people but also provides a relaxing atmosphere compared to the white color. A house painted with different colors becomes more lively since it revives the spirit of the house.
The color red can stimulate the appetite, often being used in restaurants for this purpose. It also increases craving for food and other stimuli.
Colors have a major part to play in the fashion industry as well. Whether it is a traditional outfit or modern one, both are very colorful and look wonderful. Colors add glamour to an outfit. Teenagers, nowadays wear very attractive colored outfit such as pink which provides a very elegant and girly style look every girl would love to wear. Blue and other bright colors are also worn and they can do wonder to a simple look.
Early humankind understood two things as being very valuable to existance - fire. and blood. The importance of this connection is seen in languages. where the word for red frequently translates as "like blood"
From a holistic point of view, the color red is associated with the first chakra, often called the base chakra or the root chakra.
The Root Chakra is our first understanding of love and survival and is vital to our journey that we heal any blockages from our roots up.

In the chakra system an imbalance in the root chakra can leave you feeling insecure, depressed, angry or fearful. It can also result in being ungrounded, absent minded, or a sensation having your head in the clouds.
